Farmall H Countershaft Nut ....Fun!!!! Bearings too expensive!

I yanked the countershaft nut off of a 1942 Farmall Rearend this weekend. I had to use a 3 foot long pipewrench and lifted it with a high lift jack. I have never had to work so hard to get such a little nut off. I still need to get that little snap ring bearing retainer off. Any ideas?

I bought the pilot bearing at Case on the way home. The little thing costed me 50 bucks! I will never buy ANYTHING at Case unless I search for it for 3 Months and still cannot find it somewhere else. There is no reason in H@ll why that little bearing should cost 50 dollars. I am now going to make my own gaskets as well. I plan on miking them and buying the material in bulk. I found a place in Texas that will sell me the material for bulk price. Let me know if any of you want to do the same thing.

I am furious at Case for gouging us dedicated Farmall Owners. I plan on making up a list of suppliers and build patterns for all of the gaskets I currently have. I can even make the tranny cover gaskets for less than half the price at Case. I am now looking for exhaust manifold gasket material in bulk.

I am not anti-American business....I just do not want to have to sell the house to buy new parts.
I feel Case is way too high!
