F-series brakes

My grandfather has a Farmall Regular which has hand brakes. We were fixing the brakes and were getting parts off of an old F-20. The F-20 had foot pedal brakes. My grandfather said that somone had taken the old hand brake off and put the foot brakes on. Did any F-series tractors come from the factory with foot brakes or were they all handbrakes? His father had an F-20 with handbrakes so I think thats why he says they all did. I'm not going to try and argue about it with him because I know I won't win, but I would like to know what you all think.
