Remote chance but not out of the question, it could have a broken intake valve spring. If the exhaust valve was sticking the compression would be off. I tend to think it is a electrical problem such as a cracked dist. cap, plug, or a bad plug wire. Look at all the plugs again and see if you can locate one that is different in appearance than the rest. It will be a fault with that cylinder.
