M weighs what... almost 6000# wet... plus there's over 600# of fluid in each rear tire.... so add 1200# more.... 7500# tractor on a 2000# trailer.... and your truck is rated to pull maybe 6000# trailer? And Your pulling maybe twice what Your hitch is rated for. I'd drive the tractor on as far forward as You could go, maybe angle it a little between the fenders on the trailer to get the weight forward. You don't want the weight any higher than You need it. Forget the blocking idea... what happens when the blocks wiggle their way out and the tractor crashes down on the fenders & trailer tires at 50 MPH? I'd stay off the interstate if Your only going 50 MPH.... UNLESS You go a a real odd time of the day.... Like 3 to 6 AM. Most of the drunks are home by then....and the Soccer Moms in the Big SUV's & Mini Vans are still asleep. I keep thinking what a NICE fall foliage tour running an M 150 miles would be.... Only take 9-10 hours.... running the back roads!
