My Grandma bought an IH fridge back in 1947 or in that area anyways. It was a demenstrator at the local appliance store so she got it at a discount price. She bought it and hauled it home and that is the only fridge she ever owned. And you know, it is still plugged into the wall and works just fine and it has never been worked on or recharged with freeon. Suprizingly it still freezes ice and keeps the beer cold. I live in the house that my deceased Grandma lived in and some people tell me I need to get a new fridge. I tell them that you can't buy a fridge like that anymore. I am going to just see how long that fridge will run. If I bought a new one, what will it last; 7 or 8 years. I will take my chances with the old IH even if it uses a tad bit more electricity.

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
