I am in the middle of painting a Cat D2, have it all apart in pieces. I didn't mess with the primer, this is just a cheapo job, but I am giving everything a coat, and then putting it together, and touching up the rough spots. With a cheap 20 year old Sears paint sprayer, of course. If you want to be able to see yourself in your paintjob though, u should maybe do an entire once-over once it is together.
