See in the photo of one of my SC's the center piece that attaches to the steering pedastal on one end and the tierods attach to the other end, I remade this from 1 1/4 inch round steel stock, heated and bent to the proper angle, it is one inch longer than the original (which was bent and broken anyhow) and allows the front end to turn shorter.
