my main experience with diesels is with Caterpillars, but they always pop right up after sitting for a number of years. Just make sure she has enough oil, and I wouldn't worry about fuel oil unless it's been sitting outside, fuel oil rarely seems to go bad in my experience. She should fire right up, I would think.
It may just be my uneducated opinion, but it seems that diesels are easier to start after a number of years of sitting than gas motors.
