I have to disagree with you on one point: You will gain some HP with step head pistons and a distillate head. No matter what head you have when you put in a step head piston you will decrease the combustion chamber volume at TDC and increase compression ratio. Firecrater sets are $150 per cylinder from CaseIH so you are looking at $600 for just sleeves and pistons. I put a complete kit with valves, springs, guides, gaskets, sleeves, pistons, rings, pins, bearings in my H for $600 total. The firecrater pistons probably would have a little more power, but for the money it isn't worth it to me. Steven See link for pics of the different pistons, mine are Conformatic and came in a Powr Seal kit.
