I doubt it will hurt much to leave them in. And besides, i think you can pull them and still re-use, to the best of my knowledge. If you are going for the complete restoration, I guess you could replace sleeves and pistons, but if you are a farmer on a low budget like me, then rod bearings and rings are more than enough!
