I am starting to restore my 1945 "A". The original engine was stuck and had water just about every where. The crank, cam, pistons, valve train, etc., etc. are fairly rusty. I'm going to repair the original block (It has some internal cracks around the water jackets) to keep the numbers all matching. A few years ago I purchased an engine out of a baler because the price was right and ya never know when you might need a part or two. I know you can bolt these engines up to an "A" but the casting is not quite right. But what's the internal differences? I pulled this one apart and to my surprise it looks like it had just been rebuilt, I mean it's perfect inside. So you can probably tell were this is going, I want to swap some part's. I was comparing the two and noticed some differences. The baler pistons are dished but the head looks like its quite a few cc's smaller. The "A" pistons are domed but the combustion chamber in the head is way bigger. Also the baler cam has about .070 more lift as measured in the block with a dial indicator. So my question is will all the parts swap out and how much more power does the baler engine have? I assume it will have more, I don't think an "A" would run a baler, of course I've never tried. I can't remember what baler this engine came off of, It's still at the sale, But the casting number off the block is 36629588 and the power plant serial number is 840. Any info will be great and thanks in advance. Dan

I've already drilled the center of the bolt out with about 7/64" drill bit the entire length of the bolt. Only one end of the bolt is visible. I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
