The rotor drive gears should have timing marks on them. The small rotor pinion gear on the end of the magneto shaft will have a punch mark on one of the teeth and the large gear that drives the rotor will (should) have two notches in the bakelite. R for right and L for left. Line up the R with the small gear's punch mark and follow the instructions for magneto timing.
