I dont think the Cub had sleeves. I once had a pickup that smoked like a freight train. I honed the cylinders and installed new rings, had the heads worked over and no more smoke! So if the cyliners are'nt too bad, maybe a honing, new rings and valve job will fix it up. Otherwise the block will have to make a trip to the machine shop. The Cub is fairly desirable due to it being so cute. I've seen 'em for $2,000-$2,500 in good condition. The most I ever saw anyone asking for a Cub was $5,000 but it looked like it belonged in a museum and should be taken out only for parade day, and then only if the weather was nice. Figure out how much you're gonna spend fixing it up like you like and keep in mind the $2,000-$2,500 you could sell it for and that will give you and idea how much you should spend on it. The less you have to do to it, the more its worth.

How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
