LIFTALL SYSYEM ON MY 49 H

The H Farmall I purchased has a pipe coming out of the housing where the manual states that the filler opening and dipstick should be. My question is how far down in inches should the fluid level be from the top edge of the housing? I can easly remove the pipe and run a wooden stick down and hit the level, but I don't have a clue at what level the system is actually at with no dipstick or other measurement to go by. Thats again in advance folks, you help is always appreicated
