Farmer bob has given you good advice but these old liftall were designed to run 30 wt non-detergent motor oil, not hy-tran or hydraulic oil. You can get away using the hy-tran but your hydraulics will be a bit on the weak side. Don't try to use regular 30 wt. oil as it foams up too much. There is susposed to be a dip stick in the fill pipe, I found mine when I disassembled my lift all to replace the seals, it was laying in the bottom of the resevoir. Good luck, John
