I converted my H to 12 volt negative ground this weekend. Swapped generator for a Delco 10 SI Alternator. Also added Ignitor electronic ignition and a high output 12 volt coil (All from Steel Wheels Ranch). Replaced all relevant wiring with new in the process, new ignition switch, and new starter & battery cables. Now for the questions: -The installation instructions for the Ignitor electronic ignition kit say to adjust timing after the installation. Is this necessary? If so, how? -When first started, the ammeter read 14 amps charge, after a while, it dropped to 10. When started later in the day, the ammeter read 20 amps (needle was pinned), then dropped to about 9.5-10 amps. It seems to be staying steady at 10 amps now. Does this mean I'm actually at a slight discharge? Where should I start looking for a problem? Thanks- Krey Milltown, Indiana
