The lower left drag link on my 3 pt is worn out where it attaches to the side of the tractor/transmission. The swivel will not stay inside the arm, and the arm is wearing a groove in the side of the tractor attachment point. I saw a forged steel repair part at Tractor Supply that allows you to cut off the end of the drag link, and weld this new part (that has a new swivel built in) to replace the bad portion of the drag link. The part is for a CAT II 3 point, like the one on my 656. Does anyone know if the original drag links are forged steel, mild steel, or just plane old cast iron??? I don't want to mess with trying to weld them together if the existing arm is cast iron. I am assumming that it is not cast iron given the strain that is put on that part of the tractor, buy I want to make sure. Thanks, Harry
