Have 1941 modetl A... farmall.. gas with mag ignition. started up fine but misses on one cyclinder. runs on 1,2,& 3. checked distributor cap ( new) plug wire( swapped) and rotor( news) and all is OK. 1; Swapped plug wires and turned cap around 180 and same problem ( not cap or rotor or plugs). 2. put timing light on each plug and all fired BUT #4. 3. Did not check points becuase it makes no sense to fire perfectly except for #4. I saw a slight pluse glow under dark conditions on the timing light on #4. 4. Not understanding all about magnetos and having no manual on the magnetos operation I can not understand where the problem exsits. 5. I even swapped plugs around hoping to isolate it to a bad plug. 6. Do not think a COIL would act this way if defective. AM I wrong?.... all mail is appreciated.
