Maybe the collar that joins the strng shaft to the lower shaft has come apart,an even easier fix, You need to clarify to the board where it is seperated,if it all looks good,double check the adj.sleeve near the strng whl,make sure it has the key in it,if it is all good has to be the nut came off and the shaft is a free wheeling.....either way a easy fix,very cheap-good tractor,very good.....
