I have a 460D that I'm restoring. I took the injection pump off to send out to be rebuilt. When I pulled the pump I lined up the timing marks. Stupidly before I had time to put the pump back on, I had to tow the tractor out of the shop to make room to fix the wife's car. Now the bad part, I thought I had the tractor in neutral, but it was in gear. What I am wondering is when I put the pump back on can I line up the dot inside the pump and the dot on the pump drive and will I be in time or do I have to time the engine, since I moved the tractor? If I have to retime on the front pulley with the timing mark, how do I do this now? Thanks.
