George, While I won't pretend to be a 'Pump Expert', I have in my trucking career seen just about every kind of fuel starvation problem there is. That said, I also have a 560D that did not have much care before I got it. Just last week I decided to change Fuel Filters. Got the thing so "air locked" that it too would not even run on ether. (Hate to admit using the stuff). I "cracked" the injector lines. Finally got juice to 1 and 6. Kept cranking, (seemed to take forever, I know, but it finally started smoking, and eventually "took off". My synopsis is thus. I agree with the gentleman who told you to check the line going to pump. In 30 years and untold millions of miles I never rebuilt a pump to get an engine running. It is improbable that you could get 2 bad pumps. It is either "air-locked" so no fuel can go thru pump or blocked or collapsed line. Just my experience and 2 cents. (And if that fails, do whatever Hugh tells you!!)
