Mike, the '44 H that #1 son has was purchased new by my Dad-I grew up on it. It has a steel line that to my knowledge has never been changed. I think copper lines may be replacement lines. I got all fittings needed to replace my fuel line w/flex automotive gas line @ Pronto Auto Parts. Went in w/old line that was cracked (it was steel, too) and they matched both ends w/o a problem. Its been on about ten years now & works OK. Sunlight does not seem to bother it. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
