Hi all. I noticed drips of oil comming from the inspection panel hole for the clutch on the bottom of the middle on a 1946 Farmall M. Took the cover off the inspection panel and looked around and saw the oil was comming from the bottom shaft of the transmission. It looks to have a round nut with a slot in it with a seal in behind and behind that a bearing, have a book that shows the transmission and it seems to indicate that is the setup anyways only problem is the book doesn't tell me how to fix it!!! Now can I just take that nut (nut?) off, pull off the seal and put a new one in? Or will something fall apart or shift, come out of place when that nut comes off? Looks like it could all be done through the inspection hole. Would sure hate to do something wrong and end up in a big mess. Thanks in advance for any help or advice. Terry
