You might want to price a new rear rim before spending much time on the old one. I got new rear rims 10X24 for my Super A for $55.00 each. Mine were ate up at the valve stem also and when I started sandblasting, I dicovered thin places and pinholes all the way around. I got my rims from Leinbach's in NC but I don't know if they mail order. 336-924-4115. Just my thoughts.
