Had the same problem. If you back out the packing nut and shut off you may find reminents of a cork like gasket. On my son's H I obtained two small o-rings (neoprene) and installed them. It stopped leaking. Two different size o-rings so one fit inside the other. Sediment bowls that leak from the tank are hard to fix with the steel or copper lines. I have also removed the metal lines and added a neoprene gas line. When I do that I generally also add an additional see through inline filter. that also solves other problems with floats not seating. On one of my M's I am about ready to remove the entire sediment bowl and come directly out of the tank with a nipple (probable brass if I can find one to fit)to a neoprene gas line, shut off valve and in line filter. Life would be much simpler however then the tractor would not be original. But boy would it work well then.
