Farmall M Fuel sediment bowl

The valve on my sediment bowl that turns the fuel on and off leaks in any position other than on. I have taken it apart and found no trace of any o rings or seals. Are there supposed to be any, what kind are they and where do they go? I would like to avoid having to buy a new sediment bowl if I can help it.
