Remove sediment bowl assembly. Label and shelve it. Pipe dope, close nipple, 3/8" shutoff valve, Street ell, 3/8" fuel hose fitting. Assemble and install. Use 3/8" paper fuel filter cartridge, hose to fitting at carb. Tighten clamps on fittings. Problem solved, permanently. Sure, it's not "factory", but neither is the electronic ignition!.
