I have just acquired my first tractor and find that there is a transmission lub oil leak comming from the seal where the drive shaft enters the front of the transmission. I must now replace this seal. As long as I am at the front of the transmission, I plan to replace the bearing as well. My problem is this: I do not know where to begin or the sequence of dismantleing events I must SAFELY accomplish to gain access to this errant seal. Of course, I know I must break the tractor apart.......but where and how? Would some one with direct experience and knowledge of this operation please email with a contact telephone number and I will call you at your convenience. As an alternative, Please call me collect and we can discuss my dilemma. I would sure appreciate the help. Regards, Dave Stoner
