According to my 1937 IH dealer's catalog, the P-30 was the same power plant used in the Farmall-, W-, and I- 30 tractors. It put out 40 HP, had four cylinders, ball bearing crank shaft, wet sleeves, and weighed 1750 pounds. The Farmall F-30 with the P-30 power plant was introduced in 1931, so I would assume that the P-30 was made from 1931 to at least 1937. more likely 1939 when the new M,H,etc. series came out. I share your feelings, in that I would find a way to get that p-30 in my yard and get it running, to save it from a date with the scrap man. That would be a real crying shame. Just my $0.02
