I also have a positive ground 6-volt, magneto Farmall H tractor which restored from the ground up. Your electrical system, like mine, uses a different schematic than posted by Bob M below. Also, the third brush on generator should be adjusted to no closer than 3.2 communtator bars from the main brush. If your main wire harness and cut out relay are wired correctly then the last step is to polarize your generator. This basically puts the generator at the same charge level as the battery allowing for proper charging rate when engine is running.
