Sean: Bob is correct about running at 100percent.. but why take the added risk with a 45 year old machine? Just like old people, try to backoff some from 100percent and it should last a lot longer between repairs. I'd say 80% of max. That will get you a little more driving time too and that's enjoyable. Jerking it with the clutch with a heavy load or hitting a rock while plowing etc will put more of a strain on the trivetrain than running steady at full load. G.
