My apologies to those discussion gurus who I obviously offended with my incredibly greedy post where I was trying to get rich selling that hard to find, but priceless wide front end for a Farmall M tractor for the incredible sum of $ 400.

You know, that's fine, if sales aren't allowed here, whatever, I won't do it again, but for the record...

That's a bunch of bull about it's not decent to try to sell something in more than one venue, in fact, I think it's a pretty stupid businessman who would rely on only one form of advertisement for his business, or for his item. Ebay, discussion forums, websites, ARE ADVERTISING!! Using them all is smart, you reach more people, and sell more products. Someone who get's upset about that, must just hate the tractor manufacturers who use TV, websites, radio, print and ALL other forms of media at the same time. If you have a used car to sell, and there are 3 major newspapers in your area, are you going to just run it in one? If you're selling, you want as much exposure as possible. Obviously, if I am buying, I want as little exposure as possible to the item, so I can buy it cheaper, maybe you should have just said that, folks in this discussion forum only want to buy cheap stuff. I'm sorry I don't think the masses agree with you. Most buyers either have been, currently are, or will be sellers of something at some point, and I would bet they understand about advertising an item to get the best possible price.

SO in addition.....

1) This is the first time I've been asked not to post here, not several times in a nice way.

2) I do not post here all the time, in fact, I can't remember doing it but one other time listing something for sale, although my auctions have been spoken about on here more than once WITHOUT me starting the thread. Although I have answered a couple of posts from folks who were looking for something that I had in stock.

3) The classifeds do NOT want you to a) mention an ebay item b) list your website c)are not meant for dealers.... and if I'm posting an ad, I think the rules should allow someone to click on a link if they so choose.

4) I would venture to say, that if someone wants to buy a tractor, or frontend, whatever, the average person, doesn't care if it is a dealer or an individual, they want what they want at a fair price.

5) and lastly, what do you guys have against ebay auctions anyway, it's a heck of a good way to advertise an item for sale, and I guarantee more people will see it there than they ever would on here. The search engine here is not built to find general ads, and there is so much clutter here, that a posting only has 24 to 36 hours of good life.

There is a big difference between SPAM which is someone taking advantage of a huge web community population to advertise unrelated items, and me posting that I have a wide front end for a Farmall M that I would like to sell IN a Farmall discussion forum.... duh!

For all you folks that want to complain about what I did fine, BUT you didn't have to read the post and had you been looking for a wide frontend for a Farmall M at a rather fair price, you probably would have been somewhat grateful that I posted.

Don't worry, I won't post anything else for sale, this is a nice site, but there are others out there as well, who aren't near as anal,.and who don't have so many silly rules.

I have a day job, my hobby is old tractors, I have a website and run ebay auctions, BIG DEAL, Just because I have more than one tractor, does that mean that I am less of an enthuisiast than one old country boy who is rebuilding his Farmall M? I don't think so.

In every discussion forum in every site I've ever found there are a few people who want to scream as soon as the content doesn't fit what they think it should be. Haven't you guys ever heard of the right to free speech. Get a life, I'm just trying to find some old tractors a good home, AND I might add, I'm NOT trying to get rich doing it. Most of the tractors I sell, I sell pretty danged cheap to move them, because finding them is what I really enjoy. Have a good day, and don't worry I won't list anything else for sale in this precious discussion forum.

He farms around a hundred and fifty acres of arable land, in a village called Southam, located just outside Leamington Spa in Warwickshire. The soil is a rich dark brown and is well looked after. unlike some areas in the midlands it is also fairly flat, broken only by hedgerows and the occasional valley and brook.
