Murray, I have a Farmall 200 that has the long axle housing and had the long axles (there are two lengths of axle housings and two axle lengths for each size housing). My 200 with the long axles was just too wide and I found the proper lenght for the shorter axle size and cut mine of with a chop saw. I put the saw on a stand and applied steady preasure and cut it off in about 10 mins. I then ground the angle and looks as good as original. This was the best thing I could have done. I also ran into that axle sticking out into nowhere it didn't feel good and it was also hard to get it in through the barn door. Further more it's your tractor, set it up the way you want it. I use mine for raking hay and pulling the bale wagon, the axle sticking way out was not practical. Hope this helps, good luck! Ernie Bob
