I have an M that the cam shaft timing gear let go in. That punched a hole in the timing cover and also destroied the idler gear. I have a new cam shaft gear and timing cover and was all set to swap out the parts. When I opened the drain plug to drain the oil, about 2 gallons of pure (not frothy) anti-freeze poured out first. I had bead blasted the head previously to inspect for damage, etc, so I don't think it's cracked. The head gasket looked fine. Is there anything else that could be wrong besides a crack in the block? The oil pan is off, so I will plug the ports and fill the block with anti freeze and look for drips, but so far, I can't see any cracks or anything. If it is the block, does anyone know of someone near Southern Minnesota that has a block for sale? I can come and get it. Thanks for the help!
