My dad told me that when his 350D was new he blew his up right away on the plow. It sat in his garage for several months until IH eventually replaced the engine while my grandpa, the IH dealer, sold it and sold my dad another 350D which worked very well. He eventually traded it for a 460D which he thought had way less power than the 350D so he traded it on a 560D which had good power. There were other horror stories with new 350D but the general saying was "If you got a good one, it was a good one, if you got a bad one, it was a bad one". I think you got a bad one and I know what you are going through.
