This hole you say oil is leaking from, is it in the oil pan or in the the engine block? Years ago my 560D developed a bad leak at number 2 cylinder. It was a large enough hole that number 2 and 3 pistons were in the middle of barnyard. I was not right there when it happened, and have no way of knowing whether a small leak led to a big one or not. Best to check that one out. Are you sure this is not oil comming from your crank case breather, and caused by blow by in engine?
