generator voltage adjustment info..

I have installed an 8 volt battery in my "M" and need to adjust the generator output to about 9 volts to maintain the 8 volt battery. The stock Delco regulator is mounted with 3 terminals on the right and 1 terminal on the left with a top and bottom set of contacts. The top set has a screw on the left side with a green spring adjacent it, and the bottom set has an adjustment screw on the right side between a set of metal contacts. Which one adjust the generator output? It appears the top terminal of the 3 on the right is the "Field". Need some expert input as to which one is the voltage output adjuster.Any and all feedback appreciated, thanks in advance......
