There's 2 relays inside the regulator. Find the relay that has it's contacts held SHUT by spring pressure - this will be the voltage relay. (The other relay has it's contacts held OPEN by spring pressure - it's the cutout - not the one you want). The spring tension in the voltage relay determines it's output voltage - the higher the spring tension the higher the voltage. Depending on the relay design, spring tension may be adjusted by turning a screw or by bending the relay spring hanger. To adjust the voltage, connect your DVM to read battery voltage directly off the battery posts. Now start the motor and run it near full RPM. While watching the reading on the DVM, very carefully increase the voltage relay spring tension. Do this slow and easy - a small change in spring tension will cause a larger change in voltage. When you get a DVM reading of 9.0 to 9.1 volts, you've got it. Good luck!

No. I am just happy to have their friendship. At least the word "farmer" is in my title. But what is the attraction? How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
