Does it look like a Farmall original decal if it only says MTA Diesel? If it does, it shouldn't. You indeed have a SMTA Diesel, very super, they never made a plain MTA. Like someone else said, only 1954, so i think someone may have restored your tractor without any decals and just made simple replacements, the super is missing from your decal, or someone had the wrong decals. Good luck on what sounds like a great restoration project.
