Ground on Super C

I'm working on my neighbor's Super C and I'm not familiar with Farmall's. On this tractor does it use positive to ground on the battery?? The wire from the negative terminal of the coil is going to the points and the positive terminal of the coil has the wire from the switch attached to it. The tractor has a new 6 volt battery, the brushes in the starter look good, starter armature is clean, but it turns the engine over very slowly and drains the battery rather quickly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
