Boy, live and learn, huh?. I paid $1500 for my running H, bought a $400 parts tractor, sold all the extra parts, including the wfe on the project tractor and ended up with an $1800 tractor with new tires, I never had to touch the engine, except for tuneup parts and a few gaskets. But, I have $3500 in my M.. and never touched the engine.. I rebuilt the engine on my Massey 101 Sr, and I have $3500 in that restoration too..This certainly is an expensive hobby, but it beats hanging out in bars
