If it has the old stile park lock that is the over center stile then no not realy but if it has been up dated then you must block it up, i use a half inch nut stood on end . It also helps to pull the cover off the side where rev. is as you will be bringing the reverse shift rod out with the cover and if it is like most 06searies the woodworthe key will fall out and the reverse shift fork will turn you will lose about a gal. of hy tran when this cover is pulled and it also helps if you have one extra pair of hands , place the range shifter in nuetral and when you go back togeather a flash lite helps to see under the cover as you go back down. This is the time to fix that sloopy rev. and rebush the top cover .
