The tractor is a 12 volt system with a generator, and is positive ground. When I charged the battery I removed both the positive and negative battery cables. After charge I reinstalled the battery cables on the same terminals that they were removed from. This was the way the tractor was wired when I bought it and has worked all summer till I left the switch on. I plan on rewiring the tractor this winter as I begin to restore it.
