Funny (expensive) M story!

A friend of my brother has a 48(?) M. He has been having PTO problems for the last 3-4 years - the PTO finally quit last spring. He has since been scrounging for parts to fix the thing. He finally got all the pieces (at around $500)and tore into it Thanksgiving. After many hours of blood, sweat, tears, cussing and beer - he finally got it all put back together! Guess what - yup - still wouldn't work! After more hours of taking apart and re-assembly, it STILL didn't work! He called my brother to come "take this piece of s**t outta my garage!". Brother Steve goes over there, studies things for a while and finds out that the lever for the PTO handle is busted at a weld! They spend 10 minutes fixing the pull rod and the thing works as advertised! I asked if he still wanted him to remove the M, but I guess he changed his mind!
