Sam--not sure if I agree that stop-leak can't hurt anything. Most of these formulas work by chemically attacking the rubber of the seals, causing them to swell, and thus stopping the leak. The problem is that over time (and not a lot of time--often only a few weeks) they degrade the rubber to the point that it leaks worse than before. This can lead to other problems, such as shafts going out of alignment, excessive end or side play, and similar predicaments. However, on a transmission like the H, with relatively few seals, the worst that will probably happen is that you'll have to replace the seals eventually, which you probably would have had to do anyway. Hopefully this will at least get you through to warmer weather!
