I have never given the pump any attention before, but I see there is some paint overspray on the id plate on the pump, perhaps the pump has been off before I bought it, I can't tell since it was repainted before I owned it. I've inspected and gone over everything. My gut feeling is that the pump is set way too low, I guess I will have to take it off and have it checked. I don't want to adjust it myself because I don't have the equipment to do it and I'm afraid of melting a piston down. Something is definately wrong if the 10's were supposed to run much better than the 9's because I'd say my 10 has about 85% of the power that the 9 has.
