Paul: The noise you speak of sounds like oil under presure. There is a relief valve in that unit. Another item you might check is just move your levers for the rockshafts to midway point of travel. I have had noise like you describe when those levers get out of adjustment and are trying to force rockshaft beyond its travel limit. If it stops with levers at centre that will be problem. You could also try same with fast hitch valve. On all three of those levers, just see if there is any point were noise stops. That may tell you a lot. It also maybe that noise will stop only when hydraulic functions are in motion.
