Just bought a cub

Just brought home my 1948 cub. It seems to be in good mechanical condition except the transmision is noisy. I added a quart of Hy-Tran to it but I did not help. The next morning when I went out to the shop, the oil that I had added was all on the floor. It had run out thru the right axle housing. Does this sound like the transmission seal is bad?
