Thanks for the info. Is the transmission a true hydrostatic? I would repair the problem myself so what do you think just parts would cost me for a total rebuild. The tractor has 5729 hours so it almost made the 6000hours you talked about. Should I be concerned about the condition of the engine with this numbers of hours on it? Also do you have any recommendations on what I should check when I go look at it to get an idea of its condition or how well it was maintained? What is the horsepower rating of this tractor (diesel)?
