James, I don't know if you have a belt that goes around all 3 spindles or just the center one like mine does. Make sure the idlers under the pto are in line in the verticle plane to the pto pulley - when you look down the pto pulley the belt should go straight down to the idlers not ahead or back since this is a short distance. Then look across the mower pulley and make sure the loaded side of the belt is pulling straight between the mower pulley and it's idler and that it is entering the pulley groove straight and that the idler is not croooked to the belt. The non pulling side of the belt (belt goes towards the mower pulley) can be lower or highter at the idler than at the mower pulley for adjustment. I mounted my non loaded idler on a spring loaded pivot and a small spring is all that is needed. I use gates belts only. I don't know if this helps or not.
